Ben Baker – Vice President
Benjamin Baker is a Vice President at Hudson. His primary responsibilities include investment origination and analysis, due diligence, and portfolio management. Mr. Baker previously worked at GE Energy Financial Services, the energy investment arm of GE Capital. At EFS, Mr. Baker focused on GE's investments in energy infrastructure companies and projects. Prior to GE EFS, Mr. Baker was the vice president of project finance & development at Safari Energy, a solar development company that develops commercial-scale solar energy systems for REITs and other property owners. While at Safari, Mr. Baker worked on solar portfolios for clients such as General Growth Properties, Federal Realty Trust and Vornado Realty. Earlier in his career, Mr. Baker held positions in M&A and structured finance advisory within the IPP and renewables space, including one year spent working directly with the Department of Energy to structure public-private financing facilities for energy efficiency and renewable energy. Mr. Baker holds a BA in French from Columbia College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
